Myddfai Community Council – Minutes from 7th January 2013 Meeting

A meeting of Myddfai Community Council was held on 7th January 13 in Myddfai Hall.


Present
Cllr’s Hwyel Lewis, John Griffith, Gareth Hughes, Garient Powell, Garient Davis and CC Andrew James.

Before the meeing PC Howie Davies and PC John Rogers addressed the Council – over the past 2 months there have only been single figure calls to the police from Myddfai.

The officers asked for anyone with sightings of a male, aged mid 30s, 6ft.2in tall with a visible Tattoo Please contact Police. More info on BBC website.

Cllr Lewis spoke of the death of a previous well known Councillor of Myddfai Ken Davies, the clerk to send a card to the family.

Minutes of previous meeting were read, found to be true, signed.

 

Matters Arising

CCC Code of Conduct- Training dates 26th/27th February 2 members 0f the council invited, clerk to be 1 and John Griffith to contact clerk with date he could attend.

Letter stating that at present there is no money available for the Satnav sign by Llanerch goch and that there is no sign showing roaming animals. CC James to make enquiries.

 

Correspondence

Letters from Mrs Catherine Hughes and Rosamond Evans complaining about road conditions on the road from Hafod past Dagfa Farm into Llandovery.

Mrs Evans also complained about culvert causing problems with water at Rhiw Rhydings. Letter to both to be written- CC James taken letters to consult with CCC.

Independent Remuneration Panel – to be filed

OVW – Training Programme no-one to attend

Buckingham Palace draw – no interest

 

Planning

CCC – E/27498 Old Forestry Stores Cilgwyn

Cllrs concerned about number of times applicant has applied Retrospectively and that original planning was refused 15.05.2007. Decision planning to be Refused once again.

 

Finance

New Precept – agreed to keep prcept the same as previous year.

Precept –  £850 deposited in to account

Bank Statements – Current £1859.12    Reserve £77.12

Computer – Grant available, this to be applied for by Clerk and also printer and projector to be priced.

Local Council Clerks – to be renewed £46

 

A.O.B

Culvert running under road towards GodreWaun causing flooding by layby and flowing towards the village CCC to be informed.

Letter to welsh Qater concerning Hydrant outside Delglyn as condition is deteriorating.
